Description

A very beautiful bowl by Royal Rochester in the Golden Pheasant pattern.  A lovely pheasant with flowers and leaves, trimmed in silver boxes.  The background is a light creamy yellow.  I have read this was a pancake batter bowl, it could be used as a vegetable server, mixing bowl, or even a vase for flowers.

There are many pieces for this pattern, one is a beautiful waffle iron, with this pattern in china on the lid.  I have also seen photos of electric coffee pots, they are wonderful.  I believe this company went out of business in 1939.

There is wear on the silver and decorations.  I have pointed out a ding on the outside in the MORE photos, (the bowl is upside down in this photo).  It's a small spot that just breaks the surface and has a little cracking around it, it's not deep, and covers about 1/4 of an inch.  I have also shown a small spot in the feathers of the pheasant in one photo. The inside is clean with a few light marks.

This bowl is approx. 4 1/2 inches tall and 7 3/4 total width.
